(though DA2 toke while to fix with updates and still has some things like re-used maps and magically spawning junk enemies.).
This I am sure you know, but DA 2 and inquisition are no where near as god tier as DAO, they are really good. Maybe i'll do another playthrough, but this time with another race/class. Now i'm gonna take a brake before playing Dragon Age 2. I've been through the noble origin (multiple time) and now trying mage, it's fun so far. Nope, you can choose 6 origins (hence the title of the game), if you get stuck in one (which comes pretty hard to me, but to each their own), you can simply create another character, choose another origin for them and go a different route. It's not like you're forced to go through that castle each time you start a new game. So that castle is not really the begining of the game, it happens even before the actual prologue (the battle at Ostagar, the game really begins after that battle). As a dwarf you begin in Orzammar, either as a noble in the Diamond Quarter, or as a commoner in the Commoners parts of the dwarven city. Elves have a commoner origin, where you begin in Denerim's Alienage, or Dalish, which should put you in their village in Brecilian Forest, I think (haven't tried yet). For human noble (either Warrior or Rogue class) you start in Castle Cousland, for human mage, you begin in the Tower of Magi. You have 3 selectable races and each can have one of 2 origins. The castle in the begining is one of 6 origins for your character. So i just took it out of the wrapper at that point). So you are warned.I recommend ordering it from Barnes & Nobles website if you can.Īnyway sorry for a long read i hope i didnt offend too many people :) back to Theadas! If you haven't got the book def grab it its sold out on BioWares store but there are some copies left on Amazon (thats where i got my copy from but it arrived with the corners smashed with water damage so there goes any value of it out the window. One thing i did read in the new "BioWare: Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development" book was that Dragon Age 2 was actually supposed to be a Origins Expansion but EA convinced BioWare that "Expansions like this dont sell very well so lets make it a sequel".REALLY? I would think if DA2 was a Origins Expansion people would have LOVED it!!! But EA being EA and money grubbing leeches that they are, they cant sell a game of that magnitude for a 20$ DLC, NO SIR REE BOB! NOPE! *shakes index finger* ( i would bet not one of there CEOS are gamers anyway, EA needs a Phil Spencer) So they (EA) convinced them (BioWare) to make it a Sequel and so DA:2 became DA:2.
But what I DO KNOW is that EA & BioWare have 2 different visions.or DID.I pray they haven't weaseled there way into BioWares Head Staff from what I read Dragon Age 4 is Anthem with Dragons? Are they REALLY going to make this game another Online Only/Internet Required to play game?!?!?!?!? I sure hope not. I also noticed the community isn't that nice either.at least the people i have had come into contact with idk if thats part of the Marketing's "Goal" to Market these games to those type of people now or what? Idk im not a CEO of EA. I sure hope the new blood at the studio knows what they are doing and can carry the torch and not let Identity Politics & what they do in there personal life ruin this franchise like it has and is doing this very second with other AAA franchises/studios. Witcher 3 & Fallout 4 were my first 2 RPG's and Mass Effect and Dragon Age make those games seem like a Mockery to these REAL RPGs from BioWare.
trilogy for the first time last month I wanted to give this game and the other 2 for that matter another try since i never even gave 2 or Inquisition the time of day, being caught up in the "wanna be fps pro gamer" faze from 2007-2012 playing ONLY GTA games, Halos & CoD's.
With YouTube showing me how to complete the spots i got stuck on in the past I can now finally enjoy this game for what i have been hearing so much about.
Back then I didnt have YouTube to look up the walk through LOL well I did but didnt have smartphones and i had a crappy Pentium 4 2Ghz 512MB RAM PC at the time. Maybe it was the graphics or lack of proper quest markers and navigation. I had it on 360 and never got past the fight out of the castle in the beginning. After almost 2 decades and I am now just diving head first into Dragon Age.
